Volunteers come together to shape future of South Whidbey schools | NOTABLE

Two dozen people will shape the future of public education on South Whidbey.

The long-range planning committee met Saturday and will convene two more times in March before reporting to the South Whidbey School Board.

The members of the committee represent various groups within the community.

Here are the 24 members of the long-range planning committee for the South Whidbey School District:

Tom Atkins, Kris Barker, Betty Bond, Marty Buckman, Diane Divelbess, Mary Fisher, Dan Fouts, Jim Hyde, Jack Husband, Margot Jerome, Fred Lundahl, Jo Moccia, Vincent Natresse, Shawn Nowlin, Katherine O’Brien, David Pfeiffer, Dan Poolman, Mark Racicot, DeAnn Ross, Steve Scoles, Cynthia Shelton, Val Twomey, Bob Wiley and Bess Windecker-Nelson.
