Know your septic and save thousands

A free Septic 101 class will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at the Coupeville Recreation Hall.

This class will teach the proper care and feeding of a septic system. Learn how to save thousands of dollars by properly maintaining a septic system. Discover what not to put down the drain and learn how you can obtain low interest loans for repairs.

This informative class is the first of three steps in becoming certified to inspect your own system.

Register online or call Island County Public Health at 360-679-7350 or 360-321-5111, ext. 7350. Registration will close April 10. This class is taught by Janet Hall from WSU Extension Waste Wise program.
