Whidbey Telecom is a Honeybee to Good Cheer’s Fresh Food on the Table.

George Henny and Julia DeMartini buzzed over to celebrate with Good Cheer the Honeybee level of support that Whidbey Telecom is giving to Good Cheer’s Fresh Food on the Table program. Whidbey Telecom’s support will be used to provide fresh produce through the winter to Food Bank clients. It will also help in Good Cheer’s efforts to educate the community on better nutrition choices.

“It is a perfect partnership between Good Cheer and Whidbey Telecom as both organizations believe in buying locally and providing education,” said Shawn Nowlin, Good Cheer community outreach coordinator.

DeMartini and Henny met with the apprentices and Good Cheer staff to learn more about the Fresh Food on the Table program. Good Cheer appreciates the continued support of Whidbey Telecom to programs that benefit neighbors on South Whidbey.
