Another batch of Langley Middle School Cougars began the transformation into South Whidbey High School Falcons.

The middle school held its commencement ceremony June 20 in the school’s gym.

Student speakers were Maxfield Friedman, Cory Ackerman and Bayley Gochanour. Performances included singers Chloe Hood, Katie Rose Jordan and Dakota Williams, and Mara Bush played the national anthem on saxophone.

Langley Middle School’s seventh-grade band played at the ceremony, too.

According to the district’s enrollment report, 121.60 students were enrolled in eighth grade at LMS in May.
