High schoolers win scholarships | NOTABLE

A pair of South Whidbey High School students got a jump on the scholarship scramble for the class of 2014.

The Langley Masonic Lodge awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Maddy Jerome on May 28. Thomas Gill, the lodge’s Worshipful Master and chair of its scholarship committee, presented the award.

Sophia Nilsen was awarded a $500 scholarship at South Whidbey High School by school counselor Susan Koffkin.

Langley Lodge 218 invites juniors of the 2013-2014 school year to apply for the South Whidbey Masonic Scholarship once the school year begins by obtaining a form from student services at South Whidbey High School or from the Langley Lodge website, www.langley218.com
