Annie Mutschler, a senior at South Whidbey High School, has the distinction of being a Seattle Kennel Club best junior handler.

She and her 2-year-old Australian shepherd, Polaris Goldcrest Fly Me To The Moon — also called Buzz — competed against 60 other junior dog handlers to win best junior handler. Mutschler has shown dogs for the past 11 years, also competing in obedience, rally, agility and 4-H shows.
