Author Cathy Brunjes to speak today at Whidbey Island Writers Association annual meeting

Cathy Fanslow-Brunjes, the author of "Using the Power of Hope to Cope with Dying: The Four Stages of Hope" is the featured speaker at the Whidbey Island Writers Association annual meeting today at the Rockhopper in Clinton.
Fanslow-Brunjes is an internationally acclaimed pioneer in the field of hospice care. She was instrumental in the development of the “Standards of Care for the Dying Patient” protocol which is used throughout the U.S. Veterans Administration Hospital System. She will explain how “The Hope System” addresses all levels of the dying experience.
The annual meeting schedule includes a social hour from 4:30 to 5:30, a business meeting from 5:30 to 6:30; and a speaker presentation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Members will elect board members for a three-year term. Members with questions concerning the meeting or the ballot should call the WIWA office at 331-6714.
