Hennys recount history of service
October 15, 2008 · Updated 8:46 AM
Marion Henny, president of Whidbey Telecom, will present a program that celebrates the 100th birthday of the local phone company at the next meeting of the South Whidbey Republican Women. She will be assisted by her son, George Henny, who is a member of the company’s executive team.
The Hennys bought the phone company in 1953 and have brought it out of its infancy to its present high-technological eminence in telecommunications.
The meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 21 at Useless Bay Country Club. All Republican women and their interested friends are invited to attend.
