Whidbey Audubon will make an afternoon trip this week to visit two Skagit Valley farms supporting the Nature Conservancy’s “Farming for Wildlife” experiment.

Julie Morse, a Nature Conservancy wildlife biologist, will meet the group at the Farmhouse Inn to tour sites and discuss the findings from the experiment on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Audubon members are reminded that carpooling is required; the group will meet at noon at the Bayview Park-and-Ride, or at

12:45 p.m. at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor.

The tour leader is Robin Llewellyn (678-5403), and the public is invited on the tour.
