Beach Watchers screen movie

Beach Watchers will present “Suzuki Speaks,” a visually powerful and inspiring film from scientist Dr. David Suzuki, this week on the South End.

The movie provides a new perspective on what it means to be fully human in an interconnected universe. It will be screened at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 in the old chapel of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland.

The film is offered as part of the continuing 2008 Island County Beach Watchers Speakers Series, monthly presentations geared to helping Whidbey residents understand, and work to preserve, the health of Puget Sound.

Popcorn will be available.
