Seven South Whidbey High School business and marketing students, members of the school’s DECA team, have qualified for state competition in Anaheim, Calif. later this year. DECA is an association of marketing students with chapters in high schools throughout the country. Competitions enable students to expand their learning, offering them the opportunity to demonstrate in role-play simulations their expertise in sales, marketing and entrepreneurship. The students are, in front, Hadassah Beason; in back, Dakota Hannah, Katelyn Bushey, Zeke Spalding, Jeff Smith, Jake Parrick and Emma MonteCalvo.
