The annual fundraiser for Friends of Home Health Care & Hospice of Whidbey General Hospital will take place in September.

“Art and Fashions of Whidbey 2009,” a style show and luncheon with silent and live auctions, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at Useless Bay Golf & Country Club.

The event will feature the work of local artists and fashions from Whidbey Island stores.

The Friends of Home Health Care provides assistance to patients and families needing services without adequate financial resources.

The hospital’s Home Health Care & Hospice has been providing in-home services to Whidbey Island since 1982.

Persons in need of services are essentially confined to their homes, have a medically related problem and have an attending physician providing orders for care.

Tickets are $35 per person and will be available at the BookBay in Freeland, the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce and at Home Health Care & Hospice in Coupeville.
