October 8, 2009 · Updated 9:32 AM
The Whidbey Island Garden Tour committee is soliciting applications from organizations interested in becoming beneficiaries of the 2010 Garden Tour.
Seekers of such assistance must have as a focus of their application public space enhancement and/or education that would be of benefit to the Whidbey Island environment.
The 2010 Garden Tour will be celebrating its 15th year as an annual event and has contributed more than $265,000 in the past 14 years to more than 50 organizations for community projects.
Applications are available online at www.wigt.org.
Applications are due by Oct. 31 and can be mailed to Louise Morgan, PO Box 969, Langley, WA 98260.
For more information, contact Morgan at 331-7344.
Garden tour organizers would also like to hear from garden owners who might be interested in having their gardens on future tours.
