GOP women form new group

The new group Central Whidbey Republican Women has announced officers elected for next year.

They are Debbie Cunningham, president; Reece Rose, first vice president; Charlona Sawyer, second vice president; Sine Hough, treasurer; and Carlynn Thatcher, secretary.

The grassroots organization will join the Island County Republican Party and the state and national Federations of Republican Women to work for the election of party candidates on the county, state and national levels, Cunningham said.

Monthly meetings will be the second Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, contact Cunningham at 360-678-5678 or visit www.cwrw.org.
