Langley Middle School is having a food drive for the holiday season to help the Good Cheer Food Bank.

The drive will go through Dec. 17.

“We are asking our students to please bring in canned or packaged food items to their first-period class,” said LMS office manager Mary Eaton.

Food drives can really make a difference. For the Thanksgiving drive, Kent Ratekin’s history class brought in 276 items, and the school collected a total of 414 pounds of food.

“Our goal is one thousand pounds,” said organizer Haley Lawless.

For details, call Eaton at 221-5100.
