Jason Hadnot and Amanda Everett of Clinton are pleased as punch to announce the birth of their son, Jaden Markus Hadnot.

Jaden had the indubitable distinction of being the first baby born at Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville this year. He was born at exactly 1:12 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010. He weighed

7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19-3/4 inches long.

Jaden was outdone for the first-baby-born-on-Whidbey Island distinction by Aiyana Michelle Clements, who was born at 7:11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1 at the Naval Hospital in Oak Harbor.

This will be Jaden’s first lesson in trying to catch up to the girls. Good luck to Jaden.
