Disco dance benefits South Whidbey High School PTA

The South Whidbey High School PTA is hosting a dance this Saturday at Bayview Community Hall, and organizers hope lots of folks will put on their disco duds and show up for a little Saturday Night Fever.

The event is a fundraiser for grants that will allow teachers to expand educational opportunities for their students.

Recent grants have included German films for a language class, two laptop computers for lab experiments, emergency preparedness supplies for each classroom, a student assembly regarding student drinking and scholarships for deserving students.

The disco music will be provided by Dean Hatt, and there will be appetizers and a no-host bar.

Tickets are $25 per person. The dance is 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23 at Bayview Hall. For more info, call Johnna Holt at 341-0498 or e-mail holt@whidbey.com.
