AARP volunteers give free tax help

Free tax assistance to all seniors and anyone with low or moderate incomes will start next week.

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 2, 35 AARP volunteers trained with the AARP/IRS will assist with preparation and e-filing of tax returns.

Assistance will be available from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursdays at the Bayview Senior Center. Tax returns are limited to: Form 1040; 1040A with schedule 1, 2, 3 and EIC; 1040EZ with A, B, EIC and R; 1040-V; 1040-ES; education credits; child and dependant care credits.

For assistance in other locations, call 211 for addresses and times.
