Speaker talks on mental health at networking meeting

Jackie Henderson, director of the Island County Human Services Department, is the featured speaker at the next quarterly Community Networking & Education Forum.

The forum will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4 in Fellowship Hall at Langley United Methodist Church. The topic is “Mental Health Services in Island County: An Update on Program Developed with the Sales Tax Increase.”

The presentations will be followed by a facilitated networking session from noon to 1 p.m. to discuss “How can we work together to serve Island youth?”

Lunch will be provided.

The quarterly forums are funded by Community Mobilization Against Substance Abuse and Violence, South Whidbey Youth Connection, and a Drug-Free Communities support grant.
