Basil Café holds buffet to benefit relief in Haiti

The Friendship Force of Whidbey Island will celebrate World Friendship Day this year by helping with a fundraiser for Haiti at the Basil Café in Bayview.

Chef Chung Tran, owner and chef of the Basil Café, and his staff will donate their time to prepare and serve a pan-Asian buffet from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 14.

Proceeds will go to Partners in Health, the largest healthcare provider and non-governmental organization in Haiti.
