The Whidbey Island Arts Council is in search of a part time volunteer to assist the Arts in Education committee chairman.

The committee was formed to support arts programming in Whidbey Island schools for K-12. It currently administers a Washington State Arts Commission grant for the South Whidbey and Coupeville school districts.

Qualifications for the candidate include an experience with project management. A background in nonprofit organizations, public school systems and in the arts is a plus.

The volunteer would be asked to commit two to six hours per week and attend between two to four meetings per month. A motivation to want to help expose students to a broad spectrum of art in school is desirable.

Call Frank Rose at 360-730-6483 for details.
