Whidbey Children’s Theater is signing up pirates for its July production of “Treasure Island.”

Directed by Martha Murphy, this play is for buccaneers and lasses ages 8-18.

Rehearsals for the swashbuckling adventure start May 25, leading up to seven performances in July.

Registration is also open for Whidbey Children’s Theater’s spring-break camp featuring “Sundown at the Salty Dog Saloon.” Taught by Murphy, this camp is open to children ages 6-12.

The camp runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from April 4-8, with showcases at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 8 and at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9.
