August 23, 2011 · 7:36 AM
Westerns Heroes — South Whidbey's favorite rock 'n' roll band — will perform their innovative and energetic original music at a street dance Wednesday evening at Bayview Corner.
Western Heroes are Michael Licastro, David Licastro, Lorraine Newland, Larry Neubauer and David Malony, and South Enders have been lucky to enjoy the music of these five talented, creative musicians in a number of different bands and venues over the years. The group plays danceable, eclectic and original music.
The street dance is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24. Admission is free, with a charge for food and beverages.
The Basil Café will feature a selection of a la carte sushi that night, in addition to other Asian-influenced dining options. Taste for Wine's award-winning wines from Blooms Winery and Spoiled Dog Winery will be available by the taste, glass or bottle.
The street dance is presented by Goosefoot, a nonprofit organization that supports the local economy and promotes learning and community. Learn more at www.goosefoot.org.
Bayview Corner's community street dances are sponsored by Puget Sound Energy and Whidbey Island Bank.
