It’s your time to rhyme at Clinton poetry slam
November 8, 2011 · 10:16 AM
The bi-monthly Whidbey Island Arts Council Poetry Slam, now in its 19th year, will host a first poetry slam at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Anchor Books and Coffee in Clinton.
All are welcome to share in this friendly, family fun. No poetic skill or experience is needed. Paper and pens are provided. Owners Bruce and Trish offer great pastries, coffee, island art and free Wi-Fi to compliment the evening of fun.
Conductor of Fun Jim Freeman will emcee the festivities. All in attendance will have the opportunity to receive gifts of questionable value from Freeman’s shed. Admission, as always, is free.
For more information, contact Freeman at 331-2617 or via e-mail, fun@whidbey.com.
