Advent/Christmas concert in Langley

The Langley Methodist Church Chancel Choir, under the direction of R. William Humphreys and Betsy Arand, will present “Welcoming the Mystery,” a concert of seasonal music and readings at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
Highlights of the concert include two settings of the text “O Magnum Mysterium,” one ancient (Tomas Luis de Victoria, 1548-1611) and one modern (Frank La Rocca, 2008).
Special guest artists include violinists Gloria Ferry-Brennan and Linda Morris, violist Louise Fiori, cellist Siri Bardarson, soprano Anna McLeod, and local, internationally-acclaimed poet Judith Adams.
Admission is free. Donations will be given to local agencies helping those in need.
