WICA seeks short stories

Writers are needed to share their stories for the Short Story Smash Contest, coming to Whidbey Island Center for the Arts on March 14.

Chris Spencer and Shelley Hartle will read the submitted stories from the WICA main stage, and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places.

All stories are considered for publishing in an anthology that includes a collection of stories read in past Short Story Smash events.

Entries are due by March 7. Stories must be 100 words. Submissions can be sent to cspencer@whidbey.com.

Ticket for the event are $10 and available by calling WICA at 221-8268 or 800-638-7631.
