Bird art comes to Artworks Gallery
July 31, 2012 · Updated 1:57 PM
Acrylic and mixed media artist Judith Burns will be featured at Artworks Gallery during August.
While living on Whidbey, Burns has been fascinated by its variety of birds.
“From the small hummingbirds that flock to my back porch to the large herons I see on the edge of the road, I try to capture in color and collage the beauty of these feathered inhabitants who share Whidbey with us,” Burns said.
Meet the artist during the First Friday reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3. Live music will be provided by violinist Bev Heising. Wine tasting is available.
Artworks Gallery offers a range of fine art gifts from the group of artists in this cooperative gallery. The gallery is at Greenbank Farm and is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and closed Wednesdays.
