Celebrate Mother’s Day at South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market
Mother’s Day on the South Whidbey Tilth campus will include lots of garden produce from Whidbey farmers, including radishes, asparagus, lettuce, bok choy and more.
Also, old-time musicians Steve Showell and Joanne Rouse will perform a range of melodies from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at the South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market, 2812 Thompson Road.
Available gifts for sale include hand-crafted soap, painted silk scarves and banners, and fiber arts. Concessionaire Dorcas Young of Lesedi Farm will have hot soup and samosas and chef Edward Hueneke will offer brunch and lunch items from the kitchen. Fresh organic coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be available for sale as well.
SNAP cards are welcome. More than just a market, visitors can stroll the 11-acre campus of woodlands, community gardens, a children’s playhouse and sandbox.
South Whidbey Tilth is accepting new vendors. For details, contact the market manager at market@south
