Attorneys charge fees, why is a reporter exempt?

Editor,

Is there an ongoing vendetta against the Langley mayor and city council? Recent editorials, articles and letters to the editor place them, and the whole City of Langley under siege! For what reason? To bully them into submission for not making it a sanctuary city, only an “inclusive” one, whatever that PC term means?

Has a cabal of malcontents been established to harass and wear down these elected officials, thus forcing them to resign? In the vacuum left by such an action, the cry babies would rush in with their nominees to get control by ill-gotten means. Attorneys charge fees for consultation. Why is a reporter exempt when non-privileged material is involved?
