Letter: Allen is helpful in any circumstances

Editor,

I’m a relatively new Langley resident having moved here in 2012. However, I met Bruce Allen at GHL’s UPS/FedEx store across the street.

We had a beaver in the creek that runs behind Langley Village (where I live), and it was mostly destroying the city’s beautiful white birch trees lined up along the bank behind the chamber of commerce.

One of my neighbors went to City Hall (several times, she said) to inform city staff what was happening to property taxes in Langley Village and their trees; but no action was forthcoming.

I talked to Bruce about it, and after waiting until the last tree on one side of the bank was gone, the city finally removed the beaver.

I have found Bruce always to be helpful and to represent our town.
