Letter: Community’s response to survey was overwhelming

Editor,

The staff and Board of Commissioners of the South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District would like to thank the South Whidbey community for the overwhelming response to our survey.

We received 685 completed surveys and great directional feedback for our proposed project concepts as well as some other ideas for projects to explore.

Our next steps are to review the data, prioritize and look at options for funding the development of these unfunded project concepts, including grants and corporate sponsorships.

For any community members interested, the survey results are posted on the district website with a link to the page on the park district Facebook page.

Again, many thanks to all in the community who took the time to respond to the survey. Your input is much appreciated.

Doug Coutts

Director, South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District
