I support Linda Racicot for School Board because for over eight years, Linda has provided leadership, integrity and commitment to South Whidbey Schools. Linda is a passionate, lifelong supporter of public education.

She has been an agent of intelligent change and progress in the school district. Linda and her husband Mark are SWS veteran teachers with over 30 years of service in the district. Linda and her family have a deep abiding commitment to this community and its schools. This year, for the first time in 20 years, SWS enrollment has increased. Her children are SWS grads and her grandchildren attend SWS. As a South Whidbey School board member and president of the Board she has participated in many accomplishments.

Linda Racicot understands that the Board of Educations role is to create school policy which affects the community as well as students. Each decision must be made with the understanding that it be the best possible outcome for the greatest number of students. I believe Linda Racicot has done this during her tenure.

This is why I am voting for her.
