So even though President Trump promised to release his tax returns once he was elected, it is clear that he never intended to do so.

Despite the fact that all recent presidential contenders have voluntarily released theirs, his acting chief of staff has now announced that we Americans will never be allowed to see them.

Since when is the president not subject to the same expectations of citizen responsibility as the rest of us?
