Readiness to Learn Foundation says, ‘Thank you’

This letter is to our generous community.

Each year The Readiness to Learn Foundation helps prepare kids in our community for the first day of school with the Back To School Program. Our Family Resource Center is transformed into a school supply superstore, where families who face a challenging financial situation can “shop” for all of the essentials on their class lists without having to decide between rent, bills, food or a backpack for their student. This year we were able to serve 250 students, 50 identified as homeless, and truly ensure that all kids are ready to learn.

Ourback to school store would not be possible without generous donations from community partners who give on a large scale, and also those who give what they can; $10 gifts make a difference too. We offer our most sincere thanks and gratitude to the countless others who mailed in checks, dropped off supplies in donation boxes around town, volunteered to set up the store, and assisted families while they shopped.

Thank you all for investing in the future of our children.
