Thanks for the coverage, it helped

Editor,

This past Saturday, April 8, Island County Veterans’ Services, in conjunction with the Whidbey Veterans’ Resource Center, held a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs sign-up and Walk 4 Veterans. Both events were a tremendous success, largely because of the article published in the South Whidbey Record last week.

Everyone in both organizations and veterans in general owe a great debt of gratitude to the paper for the publicity. There are many more veterans on the South End than most people are aware of, and the most effective way to get word to them about events is through the newspaper.

Again, we all thank the South Whidbey Record profusely for its assistance in publicizing the event.
