The South Whidbey Yacht Club has a wide range of offerings

Editor,

First of all, many thanks to reporter Patricia Guthrie for her front-page article about the South Whidbey Yacht Club.

Our club’s mission is to be a respected member of the Whidbey Island community by fostering enjoyment of our important marine resources through educational programs, community outreach and stewardship of the marine environment.

Yacht Club members enjoy a wide range of boating-related activities and community projects.

This year, club members worked to improve the Holmes Harbor dock and performed algae toxin testing at Lone Lake in 2017. Our members are sailboaters, power boaters, kayakers, row boaters and even some “no-boaters.”

If you’re enthusiastic about boating and would like to know more about South Whidbey Yacht Club, please attend one of our monthly meetings and get to know us better.

Jill Brown,

Greenbank
