We need a change to real democracy

Editor,

The winner of the 2016 vote was Hillary Clinton but she isn’t going to be our next president. Is this a democracy which says that every vote we make is equal to every other vote? Whether you are a man or woman, black or white, old or young, rich or poor, as long as you are a citizen your vote is equal to everybody else. Unfortunately not in this country at the presidential level.

In the past 16 years, we have had two men given the presidency that didn’t have the most votes. Is this democracy? We need a change to real democracy where all votes are equal.
