Angelica Janda has earned a master’s degree in philosophy from Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso in Chile.

She graduated with an equivalency 4.0 GPA on Oct. 13.

Janda is a 2011 South Whidbey High School graduate. Born and raised on the South End, she earned her bachelor of arts cum laude from Seattle University in philosophy in 2015. She spent the past two years completing her masters with a concentration in social justice in Valparaiso.

She is a fourth generation islander.
