WHIDBEY ISLAND CENTER FOR THE ARTS presents Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays, through Dec. 17. Join the players for this nostalgic nod to the perfect Christmas we all dream about. Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs. A CLASSICAL CHRISTMAS concert with Natalie Ingrisano and EARLY MUSIC UNDERGROUND is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Freeland. The cost is $25 for general admission, $20 seniors. Tickets are available at www.emuseattle.com; advance purchase is recommended. The concert is in a cabaret setting.

WHIDBEY ISLAND COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA presents, “The Night Before Christmas,” with David Ossman, 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at South Whidbey Assembly of God, 5373 Maxwelton Road, Langley. Also, 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church, 1253 NW 2nd Ave. Ossman, an actor, writer and producer, will serve as the narrator and Dr. Cynthia Morrow the conductor. WHIDBEY ISLAND DANCE THEATER’S “The Nutcracker” begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 and runs through Dec. 18 at South Whidbey High School’s Performing Arts Center. This is the theater’s 24th season producing the show, which includes traditional themes and characters but with a “twist.” Visit www.widtonline.org for ticket information and details.

“Fine art in the Season of Light” is on exhibition at the ROB SCHOUTEN GALLERY through Jan. 2. Included in the gallery’s displays are jewelry, sculptures, paintings and fine art glass, as well as woodwork, encaustics, ceramics and fiber art. The gallery is located at Greenbank Farm.
