Blooms lists winery artists for annual show

Blooms Winery’s Taste for Wine & Art features more than 11 local artists through the end of December in the annual “Hundred Bucks” art show.

Blooms Winery’s Taste for Wine & Art features more than 11 local artists through the end of December in the annual “Hundred Bucks” art show.

Every item is priced at $100 or less during this show, and many pieces are on sale.

Artists participating include mixed media artist Janet Pheifer with some new mixed media boxes created just for this show; painter Betty Rayle who will offer originals along with etchings and block prints; photographer David Rogan Levine with photos of local scenes; digital paint prints by Jacob Bloom; photographer Karen Leeds who catches rural and urban scenes; art prints from Ron Kasprisin and George Jennings; fiber artist Marcy Johnson; glass art from LaChaussee Glass studios; Encaustic by Kris Wold; jewelry by both Marcy Johnson and Virginia Bloom; and stone sculptures by Hank Nelson.

Also, Taste for Wine & Art offers live music every Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. year round. A variety of musical styles by local artists are featured at the Sunday Music Series. Several of their  December musicians hope to have some holiday sing-along. The list includes Mr. Six (Ron Eaton and friends) on Dec. 2, Carlos Xavier on Dec. 9, Muse, Eye and Dragonfly on Dec. 16, Al Benson on Dec. 23, and Janie and Joe on Dec. 30.

Blooms Winery Taste for Wine & Art is located at the Bayview Corner, 5603 Bayview Road.
