Girl scouts build bench, donate it to South Whidbey High School garden

Sixth graders from Cadette Girl Scout Troop 42183 recently donated a bench they made to the South Whidbey High School’s new garden.

The girls, Freja Heggenes, Phoebe Hawkins, Abigail Ireland, Parker Forsyth, Emma Callahan, Eva Wirth, Taryn Henny, and Chloe Goethel made the bench as part of earning their Woodworking Badge.

The bench and garden are located near the bus pick-up area at the high school on Maxwelton Road.
