The Open Door Gallery + Coffee …
… holds its Annual Holiday Gift Show reception from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Bayview Cash Store. Join the artists for appetizers, refreshments and holiday cheer while browsing the fine arts and crafts of local artists.

Dec. 31 there is jewelry, ceramics, scarves, boxes, creatures, glass, wood, gourds, books, prints, paintings, ornaments, sculpture, fiber and clothing, with ever new pieces streaming in as pieces fly out the door. Paper artist Debra Glanz makes minutely detailed miniature boxes from paper she’s designed, and with tiny embellishments she’s made that adorn the lids. Ceramic artist Kristy Lombard creates fun, funky and functional pottery. Butter dishes, pitchers, platters, mugs and plates with playful designs make perfect holiday gifts for just about anyone.

MUSEO’s Annual Gift Show …
… starts on Saturday, Nov. 20 and features a bevy of local artists’ pieces priced perfectly for holiday gift giving.
The gallery will be filled with decorative ornaments, colorful scarves and hand-made jewelry, as well as small-scale paintings and sculptures. The Annual Gift Show will run through Dec. 30.

Whidbey Island Arts & Crafts Sale …
… welcomes 40 talented artists to Freeland Hall for the annual sale Dec. 3-5, in support of Friends of Freeland.
Proceeds from the sale support preservation efforts and community enhancement in Freeland, but mainly it’s a great place to find a wide variety of hand-crafted gifts made by Whidbey Island Artists at great prices. Meet artists and friends, and enjoy locally baked delicious treats and coffee while you shop in a beautiful setting at the historic hall on Holmes Harbor.
Offerings include jewelry, glass, garden art, paintings and prints, woven textiles, Native American instruments, body-care products, handmade books and journals, ceramics, wreaths and books by local authors.
The sale is from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday,

Artists of South Whidbey …
… have made a festive collection of winter greeting cards in support of the group’s scholarship fundraising effort. The cards are available at Casey’s Crafts in Bayview, Bayview Farm & Garden, BookBay in Freeland and at Quilting by the Sea in Langley. All proceeds beyond reproduction costs support Artists of South Whidbey’s annual scholarship awards for high school seniors who will go on to study art.
