Pastel artist Teresa Saia

Pastel artist Teresa Saia will give a demonstration to the Artists of South Whidbey next week.

The group meets at noon and Saia will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Trinity Lutheran Community Building, 18341 Highway 525 in Freeland.

Saia has a strong following in both private and corporate collections, according to a recent news release from the group. She is a recognized workshop instructor nationally and in Europe.

“The mood and emotion conveyed in Teresa’s paintings evoke a deep sense of the mysterious, romantic, peaceful and yet familiar settings,” the release said.

She is currently represented in the Howard/Mandville Gallery in Kirkland, Studio Siena in Seattle and at the Vail Fine Art Gallery in Vail Co. Visit www.teresasaia.com for details.

Artists of South Whidbey welcomes painters of all levels and media to join their meetings. They begin with a sack lunch at 11:30 a.m. Attendees are asked to bring artwork to share or for gentle critique.

Call Gaylen Whiteman at 360-331-2603 for details.
