Langley resident wins 2016 Water Saver Challenge | KUDOS

Langley resident Ron Nilson was the winner of the 2016 Water Saver Challenge, which is an effort to reduce the city’s energy footprint, and was recognized by Mayor Tim Callison at a city council meeting on Oct. 17.

Nilson conserved 3,320 gallons, which was a 70 percent savings compared to his previous year’s usage.

To save water, Nilson stopped watering his garden and lawn, stopped taking showers at home and instead showered at Island Athletic Club, and was conscientious about how long he let the water run when doing other activities.
