Interested in learning to meditate? Already meditating and interested in deepening your practice?

Come learn Mindfulness/Awareness meditation and join others in practice at a meditation open house from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 in the Sanctuary at the Whidbey Institute.

Meditation instruction is offered free of charge by instructor Howard M. Aposhyan, and will introduce the practices of Shamatha (“calm-abiding”) and Vipashyana (“Insight”) meditation. Aposhyan is a senior student of the Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, a Tibetan teacher and meditation master. A practitioner for 23 years, he has taught meditation at the Naropa University in Boulder, Colo.

No appointment is necessary. A goodwill donation for support of the facilities is welcome, but not required. Call 321-4284 or visit www.nalandabodhi.org for more information.
