Consider labor’s spirituality | RELIGION NOTES

August 31, 2012 · Updated 4:14 PM

As you consider Labor Day, consider, too, the purpose and spirituality of your labor. Part of doing this is related to considering God’s purpose in the labor to create the universe. If the purpose is to celebrate the joy, perfection, beauty and wholeness of life, then how can we, as the result of that purpose be less than joyful, perfect, beautiful and whole? By expressing joy, perfection, beauty and wholeness in our labors, we honor God who has already honored us.

On Sunday, Sept. 2, the Christian Science service focuses on God’s children as the “expression of God’s being.” (Science and Health). Everyone is welcome at this service that begins at 10:30 a.m. at 15910 Highway 525, north of Bayview.
