Whidbey Toys for Tots donations fall far short this year
Dec 18 2012, 2:34 PM It’s been a tough year for donations to the Marine Corps League’s Toys for Tots program on Whidbey Island. According to organizer Mike McClung, donations are down about 40 percent, the impact of which will be felt next year.

The Island County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a level of service ordinance that would result in curbside service for all of the waste-hauler’s customers in Langley and rural areas of Whidbey. The hearing is at 1 p.m., Dec. 20 in the commissioners’ Hearing Room, 1 NE 6th St., Coupeville.
