South Whidbey High School singers are belting out new tunes this year and a few dance moves to boot. Music in Motion is the school’s new show choir that features singing, dancing and solos for the 44 students involved, many of whom have never sung before. The group will be performing for their premiere at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the high school auditorium. Admission is free.

The South Whidbey School Board will hear several plans to improve district schools during its regular meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Presentations on school improvements will be made by principals from South Whidbey Elementary School, Langley Middle School, South Whidbey High School and the director of South Whidbey Academy. Superintendent Jo Moccia will also provide a presentation on the district improvement plan.

The South Whidbey School District Board of Directors will convene for a regular business meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the former board room on the primary school campus, 5380 S. Maxwelton Road. The meeting is held a week earlier than usual because of Thanksgiving break.
