TRAFFIC ADVISORY | Roads will be closed during Whidbey triathlon

Road restrictions will be in effect during Saturday’s Whidbey Island Triathlon, according to the South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District, the sponsor of the annual event.

Lakeside Drive will close between Traverse Road and Pintail Road after 10:30 a.m.

Traverse Road will close from 8:45 to 11 a.m. There will be no left turns from northbound Bayview Road onto Andreason Road between 9 a.m. and noon.

Meanwhile, motorists will encounter runners and bicyclists between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on the following routes:

Lone Lake Road between Andreason Road and Saratoga Road; Goss Lake Road between Traverse Road and Lone Lake Road; Saratoga Road between Lone Lake Road and Park Road; DeBruyn Avenue between Saratoga Road and Third Street in Langley; Third Street/Brooks Hill Road/Bayview Road between DeBruyn Avenue and Andreason Road; Park Road between Saratoga Road and Camano Avenue; Camano Avenue/Langley Road between Park Road and Sports Complex Park; and Maxwelton Road between Langley Road and South Whidbey High School.
