September 29, 2010 · 1:49 PM
A local rally to support the One Nation Working Together Rally in Washington, D.C. will be held this weekend in Bayview.
The Bayview rally will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Bayview Park & Ride, Highway 525 and Bayview Road. The rally is being hosted by Carolyn Tamler of Greenbank and the anti-war group that holds regular vigils at the park and ride lot.
One Nation Working Together is a social movement of individuals and organizations committed to putting America back to work and pulling America back together, Tamler said.
Its goal is a united country with good jobs, equal justice and quality public education, she said.
The Bayview rally is one of many across the country scheduled to coincide with the organization’s national rally on the Mall in the nation’s capital on Saturday.
